I love summertime in the Pacific NW / Lower Mainland -- the daylight is long, the cool breezes off the ocean are just the right temperature, and the sunsets are always stunning. Today, while swinging south of the border to pick up mail, I decided to zig out to the coast and enjoy the sunshine. I found myself outside the famous Semiahmoo resort -- no need to check in to the expensive resort, when I can walk the public beaches for free. I spent a couple hours just strolling on the rocky beach, and brought home a small translucent white pebble, an ordinary, common, little stone, but it captured my attention.
