After church at Burnaby Alliance Church, I was on my own for lunch and didn't really know where to go for food. So on a whim, I decided to take a little drive out past North and West Vancouver, to the western end of Trans-Canada Highway 1 at cozy Horseshoe Bay. About half of the little bay is visible in this picture, and it's flanked by steep rocky walls dotted with evergreen trees. After a nice little bento box lunch, I spent an hour playing fetch with the black dog on the narrow beach; the locals say he's there all the time looking for people to play with.
