Proceeding in order of increasing distance from home, this Sunday I visited the Surrey Christian Alliance Church at their new building in the nice neighborhood of Fraser Heights. Oddly enough, not so many people I met at the church were actually from Surrey; several lived in Coquitlam or Langley. It's a beautiful sanctuary resplendent with gilded chandeliers and marble floors; unforunately the acoustics are just horrid with echoes from all those hard surfaces.
Today, as the first Sunday of the month, was a combined communion service at 11am; normally the English service is at the universal English service time of 9:30am. After an enjoyable chat with the college students, I was graciously invited to lunch by Ken+Waling, together with Waling's mom (who also speaks Hokkien!).
