Our family friend Alice is a travel agent and gets all sorts of deals, so as a gift to us she and her husband took my parents and I on a short cruise to Alaska, onboard the new Diamond Princess! If I had finished my dissertation by May, it would have been a nice graduation present, and I could come back to NC the day after for my commencement. Unfortunately, I'm not done yet.
But it was a nice
break anyway.
I was running low on batteries, so about half of the photos were shot with my backup film camera; I'll update when I've scanned those photos. This is also just a quick-and-dirty upload; more processing and captioning to come.
