Over the 2004 New Year's holiday, I spent a week up in Massachusetts with my baby niece Elise, who is almost turning 2 years old! We had great fun climbing up and down the stairs, and playing piano, singing, and dancing together. She's learning a lot of short words, and has this tendency to abbreviate everything down to one syllable (usually the last). Hopefully her "gu" (uncle; that's me!) will be able to visit her again soon!
