Yay, my friends Bob+Jayne got married today! Theirs is indeed a story of God's grace -- grace that does not invalidate God's principles, but grace without which none of us have hope of such joy as Bob+Jayne share today.
It was a good and huge wedding, probably over 600 people, all packed into the main floor of KS! Fraser Lands probably would have fit everyone more comfortably, but Jayne really wanted to get married in the same sanctuary as her parents did, nearly thirty years ago. Jayne's family is rather well-embedded in KS and in the Chinese Christian community, so the vast majority of the folks were on "the bride's side". At the banquet that evening, I think it was something like 32 tables of Jayne's friends, to 4 tables of Bob's friends! I think they're going to do another banquet/reception in Shanghai, for Bob's relatives.
I snuck some grabshots from my excellent vantage point sitting on the front row; I had the privilege of leading 4 worship songs for the congregation.
